From the second untill the fifth of May the Selection Trails 2014 for Great Britain were sailed in Weymouth. The strongest 82 British sailors were invited tot his regatta and race for a spot in the Worlds, European, Development or Intermediate team. During the winter we trained a lot with Arthur Fry, Sophie Hollaway and Oliver Hill. They were respectively 17th, 22nd and 28th on the rolling ranking at the end of last year. Have spent much hours and effort in training and improving on many levels, all three sailors moved up compared to their ranking. In total 13 races were sailed, in and out the harbour which is a tradition during the selections to have a wide range of conditions (wind, waves, tides, …). On following link you can see the results of an extremely exciting selection. With a lot of pride we can tell you that Oliver finished the regatta 11th, Sophie in 12th So both are Qualified for the European Championship in Dublin and Arthur finished in 15th place which makes him one of the leaders going towards the French Nationals in Biscarosse. So a lot of improvement and a nice build up towards ta succesfull selection trails. There next goal is already made!
