With Sailors from all over Europe and beyond we had a beautiful winter at our winter base in Barcelona, Spain. We welcomed sailors from 12 different countries at our #BCNWINTERCLINCs, which we’re very pleased with.

Another winter has passed and it’s great to see what progress has been made. Sailors from different countries have the ability to really push each other during well chosen exercises as they would do mid-race. This unique friendly, yet very competitive atmosphere is incredible favorable for each individual joining our clinics. We’re able to work with sailors from different levels and make sure each sailor who gets to the base comes out as a better sailor. It was great seeing so many new faces and even better seeing the return home happy and as better sailors. Of course meeting sailors from so many different countries is great as well. They keep in touch and see each other at different events. From our #BCNWINTERCLINCs it’s easy to get logistics organized to do one our multiple of the Spanish big winter events.
Proven once again that from our #BCNWINTERCLINICs you don’t only get a perfect prep towards the big winter events. You’re also getting ready for your home qualifiers or warm up events. So far we’ve had a blast in Belgium and Netherlands at the first two events of the season in those countries. Two times our sailors filled the top 3 completely. Optispring is the first (out of three) qualifiers for the Belgium WC & EC Teams. Things are looking up for the Belgian sailors who joined us over the winter. At Braasemermeer we saw a lot of sailors participating athletes the MM Easter Regatta. Again some great racing by all sailors who joined us in Barcelona.
We’re looking forward to see lot’s of the sailors representing their countries at the Worlds, Europeans and various events over the summer! With a wide range of events we have coaching that suits your sailors abilities or goals. For example, for sailors aiming for the World Championships 24, taking place in Argentina, a great event to participate in is the Nieuwpoortweek, held beginning of July in Belgium. If you want to get your racing skills sharpened, the Ora Cup in combination with Trofeo Simone Lombardi is a great combo to race two events back to back in a big fleet.
