At the age of 10 Pieter was already in an Optimist boat, learning how to sail. After sailing on International level and achieving great awards in Optimist, 420 and Laser Standard, Pieter started coaching. Through the years there have been several campaigns and teams Pieter worked with, giving him lots of experience on a wide variety of classes. The coaching company 8 Days a Week was founded and has been organizing plenty of programs, clinics and regatta coaching ever since.
What started 8 years ago has turned into a full time profession, which Pieter practices with lots of passion and dedication. Being the European Champion Optimist ’17 Coach proves this.
