With a 4 day clinic beforehand, Harris, Matthew, Josh, Oliver, Drew, Simon, Craig, Jake & Sophie sailed an exiting Euromed. Wind coming from mainly Western to Northern direction sailors were prepared for a difficult regatta. Not easy because during 3 out of 4 days wind was coming from the land. Which mend bigger shift and mainly gusty conditions. At the first day of the event the sailors were eager to start, some were to eager! Certainly in the second race of the day, were at least 40 boats were over the but the race officer let them go… The result was that 93 sailors were given a black flag, and 72 redresses were handed in to the race committee. The next evening the jury decided the abandon the race under rule 31.2. On Saturday sailors sailed 3 races with a 12 knots breeze. The results were up and down for the team, and not only for them, with a huge shift in the first race of the day race didn’t get abounded the results got shaken up a little, also for the others in the top 20. Now, after this race wind got more stable and results got better. Sunday was an important day as there were 4 races scheduled, with a 15 knots breeze we got what we came for, the team riders won 3 out of 4 races. Top 10 results were a must and so they did! With only one race to go we had Sophie in 6th, Craig in 8th, Harris in 9th and Matthew in 10th position. Harris, Matthew and Drew needed to catch an early flight so were unable to sail the last race, even though they got a very good overall result! An interesting race on the last day of Euromed decided that Sophie got 3rd overall and 1st girl. Craig became 8th, Harris 10th and Matthew 11th. Oliver, Josh, Jake, Matthew, Simon and Drew proved us to can get up there as well!
