After having spent almost the whole month in Wokrum (NED) we had 4 days of training and 4 days of racing. Having several Belgian sailors in the clinic, Yvette from Switserland and Arthur from Great Britain it was time for a little extra. Having the opinion of an ex oppie sailor who only left the boat 1 year ago and was at the top of the world at that point. David Labrouche told his opinion to the sailors and how they should improve there boat speed, which worked. After these training days the race started with 2 days of qualifiers and two days of finals. Having only one discard on 7 races when the finals started made it for some sailors impossible to be in the fleet they should belong… but a good lesson for some sailors to preform more consistent. Sailors were looking back happy at the event, not because of the result but because of the great improvement they made during the training and racing, on boat speed and tactics.
